Though choice, very hard to work out the last track for this one. I chose the Live in Boston version of Green Manalishi because the guitar tone is cooking, and Peter's playing is haunting as ever. Incredibly tight live performance from the whole band too.
I considered Gimmie Shelter for Episode 2, but I went for Ventilator Blues as Exile on Main Street's story of tax exile.
I love a lot of Boomer music, for example The Stooges, Velvet Underground as well as the poppier stuff like The Beatles and Beach Boys. The one song that comes to mind that encapsulates Boomerism for me is For What It's Worth by Buffalo Springfield. I'm not 100% sure why, but that one tune, more than any other, makes me cringe HARD.
I see old boomers in parks, at the beach, with their acoustic guitars, thinking they’re cool, playing out the hits of “their generation” and it’s just so cringe.
These songs are 2.5x as old as I am. Thanks for sharing.
Very nicely put together.
Enjoyed very much dj Scrump
Age of plastic was a great album from end to end
It may be a bit obvious (compared to The Green Manalishi), but Gimme Shelter by the Stones is another soundtrack to the end of the 60s.

You think we could propagandize them into doing something useful before they die?

Excellent! I hope for more in the future!
