As always, I appreciate the radio format and anthropological recap. But for me, the nu-metal subgenre umbrella is the kind of music that gets an immediate channel hop or station change. Ironically, I did love nu-metal songs and had a couple of favorite bands in that genre in middle and high school, which was during the height of its popularity. I can't stand it anymore, so beyond it have my tastes changed. That shift is still something I can't fully explain, though I have my specific complaints and critiques. It was very much a formula 'of its time', as you said, and whatever I enjoyed about it had more existential significance to me then. The music that's held 'eternal' to my tastes entered in during university, with maybe two exceptions. Go figure.

Fantastically well put together show. Can you do a Neofolk episode of Starman Radio? No other genre of music is more based.
